Ray our Manager (also Kellys father) has been a Butcher for many years. Training along side his father. He was diagnosed with a Lung Disease Sarcoidosis that over the years eventually saw him succumb to have to be on Oxygen 24/7.

The only option was to have a Lung Transplant. After being placed on a transplant waiting list Ray was lucky enough to receive a donor organ after only 2 months. 

Once he was well Scott decided to give him something to focus on other than his ill health for a change and asked if he would be interested in helping run a new Butcher shop. That was 2 Years ago.

Ray is extremely grateful for his second chance and he constantly raises money for Charity organisations by running Sausage Sizzles every Saturday at the Shop. He holds one a month specifically for the Alfred Hospital Heart & Lung Transplant Unit.

Ray had been working in the previous owners business on the current site (Oxygen Tank beside him) and saw the potential the business had and thought it was a good idea to look at buying the business.

We all thought that the shopping centre would benefit from the Butchers having increased Trading Hours that would follow Harvey’s hence the late Opening during the week and long days Saturday & Sundays.

The business has become a family affair with Rays other daughter helping Scott & Kelly with bookwork and Marketing. Along with their son working on weekends.
